Recovery

Recovery is a pattern.

Why personal baselines and consistent measurements matter more than an isolated number.

More than one signal

Recovery describes returning toward readiness after physical and everyday demands. Heart-rate variability, resting heart rate and sleep can contribute useful context, but no single reading captures every aspect of that process. Your experience of the day still matters alongside the record.

Your baseline is personal

A baseline gives a reading something relevant to compare with: your own recorded history. Measurement timing, device and conditions affect that comparison. An isolated HRV value is difficult to interpret without those details. Research on monitoring training does not establish one ideal HRV for everyone or validate Connefi’s exact scoring formula.

How the app handles incomplete evidence

In the inspected implementation, Connefi combines the sleep score with usable physiological signals relative to personal baselines. Recovery requires sleep, at least two physiological signals and enough coverage. If that evidence is missing, a score is unavailable. That state describes the record, not a judgment that you recovered poorly. Available detail can vary with the released app and connected source.

Different measurements keep different meanings

Breathing rate, oxygen saturation and wrist temperature can add context when the source supplies them. Wrist temperature is a peripheral measurement; it is not core body temperature. A source change or a recording gap can alter a comparison without reflecting a meaningful change in your condition.

Read the trend with your day

Sleep, everyday stress, illness and measurement conditions can all influence physiological readings. Treat a change as something to investigate with context. A wellness score cannot decide whether training is safe for your individual circumstances or diagnose the cause of an unusual reading.
